Red Horizon

Setting and premise

Red Horizon is a strategy game set on Mars, where you take on the role of the commander of Red Rock base. The story begins after Earth goes silent during a dust storm, leaving you to manage three crew members: an engineer, a biologist, and a morale officer. Alongside them is A.R.E.S., the base AI, which is becoming increasingly more human-like in its interactions. The game presents you with choices that impact the survival of your crew and the functionality of the base.

Real-time decision-making

In the game, you must manage essential resources such as oxygen, power, and morale. As you give orders, the consequences unfold in real time. You can choose between saving a critically wounded technician or conserving oxygen for the remaining crew. Each option presents its cost up front, forcing you to make difficult survival decisions. The Desperation Index also plays a key role, visually affecting the game's interface and shaping your interactions as resources dwindle.
