Recollect:EDEN

Story and setting

Recollect:EDEN is a long-form PC visual novel set in an alternate-history Japan in 2042. People whose GIFT genes activate develop psychic abilities, and incidents involving those powers lead Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force to establish the Fourth Division, a secret organization that “recovers” ability users. You read the story of its members, who are gifted themselves, as they carry out missions and deal with one another.

The story can begin from either of two perspectives. In the Reminiscence route, 19-year-old Rikka Hiiragi wakes with no memory and learns that she has psychic powers and belongs to the Fourth Division. In the Recollection route, 35-year-old Kunihito Ichinose is taken by the military after manifesting an S-class ability and forced to work with the division. He is quiet and avoids other people; his relationships with Rikka and the other members gradually change him. You can choose which perspective to read first.
