「認識」/RECOGNIZED

Tape horror

「認識」/RECOGNIZED is a PC analog-horror soulslike about a tape where strange emoji-faced enemies pursue you. You follow the tape’s rules to avoid them, run when the spinning fingers on a windmill stop, and watch for warnings that can appear across every channel.

Fighting and hiding

An umbrella or steel pipe can be used against enemies, but swinging too much leaves you out of breath, when the fingers can reach you. Vending-machine light is safe, and empty coffee cans can be thrown. Don’t hit the turtle from the front; if it turns red, it’s no longer a turtle. If the screen fills with まずい, the rule is not to read it aloud. A smiling man on the tape is a signal to stop it.
