A machine-built world
RE//SYNTHESIS is a first-person action game set 500 years after humanity disappeared. You play a human consciousness that wakes inside a mechanical body with no memory of what happened. Machines have formed a civilization in humanity’s absence, and they’re collecting and replicating human DNA to incorporate into their own evolution.
You wake in the Terminal District, where broken machines wait to be sent to Fundamentally Artificial, a place where machines go to die. From there, you search for answers, recover DNA fragments and try to uncover the truth behind humanity’s disappearance.
