Primal Breakout

Breaking out

Primal Breakout is a PC dinosaur combat game about escaping a research lab and freeing the other dinosaurs held in facilities. You fight past fences, mercenaries and hunters, then take on APEX, a soldier made from your kind and turned against it. Each facility you tear down brings the prisoners closer to freedom.

Fifteen dinosaurs

You can play as 15 dinosaurs across three paths. Carnivores hit hard and take little damage; herbivores shrug off blows that floor the others. The Special path includes marine reptiles, a pterosaur and a sabre-toothed cat. Each dinosaur grows through three ages, has two passive values and has its own ultimate, with 15 ultimates in all. Once unlocked, a dinosaur stays available, so the one you’ve had longest isn’t necessarily the best choice.
