One More Encounter

Rediscovering a Lost Classic: One More Encounter

One More Encounter is a fascinating piece of gaming history that many players may not know about. Originally released on November 17, 1992, it was an early dungeon crawler designed for the NEC PC-9801. While the game had prominent ambitions, it faced commercial failure, effectively disappearing into the annals of time. Now, after over 30 years, this innovative title has made a partial return, allowing players a glimpse into a world that never fully materialized.

The Narrative Experience: A Journey Through Characters

In One More Encounter, the real draw lies not in the game mechanics but in the narratives spun around its unique characters. With only 0.35% of the original game salvaged for this revival, players can explore seven of the over two thousand previously possible encounters. This limited selection focuses on the storytelling aspect, inviting players to connect with diverse characters, each with their motivations and backstories.
