Old But Gold

A grandfather and a transit pass

Old But Gold is a single-player narrative adventure for PC about an aging grandfather trying to pick up his granddaughter from school. On the subway, he’s asked to show his transit pass, but his phone has insufficient balance and online banking requires facial verification. You guide him through the unfamiliar apps and phone features he needs to get a pass and continue his trip.

Moving through the phone

The grandfather is pulled inside his phone, where the game moves between places including the photo album, TikTok, WeChat, the battery compartment, and online banking. You run across tracks, jump twice, dodge obstacles, and collect items. You can also left-click to attack pop-up monsters and clear the path, or right-click to grab and move objects.
