OKU

Welcome to the Soulful World of OKU

In OKU, a PC game that floats through the realms of platforming and poetry, players take on the role of a traveling monk. This is not just a physical journey but a profound path toward spiritual growth. As you traverse beautifully illustrated Japanese landscapes, writing Haiku-like verses that capture the essence of nature, you unlock forgotten paths and deepen your connection to a world steeped in Japanese spirituality.

The Art of Poetry Meets Exploration

The heart of OKU lies in its poetic mechanics. Players combine words and phrases found in their surroundings, crafting poems that reflect their experiences and the themes of the environment. By observing your surroundings, a rustling bamboo thicket or a serene glacial peak. You draw inspiration that fuels your literary craft, allowing you to breathe life into your writing.
