Numb Digger

Digging through the ice

Numb Digger is a dark allegorical digging game for PC about the Black American experience, identity, debt and labor. You descend through impossible ice, where the system treats people as records and bodies to count. Your aim is to reclaim your identity from that record, not conquer the shaft.

Dig deliberate routes through layered, reactive ice. Choose tools for each cut: the wrong one wastes your strength and can wake the shaft. The ice holds bodies, records, letters, relics, anomalies and other proof, and each descent means deciding what to bring back.
