A name and a number

Nomenocide is a PC game centered on an unnamed staff member and an Examiner who has a number. You aren’t issued a name, because names are treated as an operational measure for units, not staff. The game’s premise turns on the gap between that rule and your own identity: you have a name, but you aren’t using it here.

The distinction is stated plainly, then made personal. Nobody has asked for your name in some time.
