Game premise and objectives

Metroplex is a city and transportation simulation game that focuses on building and managing a metropolitan region. You manipulate various elements such as roads, railways, housing, job opportunities, land value, and a growing population, which interact and affect each other over decades. The goal is to create a cohesive urban area consisting of dense centers, suburbs, industrial districts, and satellite cities.

City management and infrastructure

You will construct roads and railways, place stations, operate local and express services, and shape land use. As the city's population grows, you must address challenges that arise at both local and regional levels. This includes decisions on transportation efficiency, housing demand, and infrastructure expansion, all tied together by how these systems interact with each other.
