What the game is

MataOno is a chaotic dice roguelike that focuses on building combos through a unique dice-manipulation system. You start with a basic Die that features numbered faces from 1 to 6. The main objective is to creatively customize your dice by selecting frames for faces, which can be either numbered or possess special abilities. Through these mechanics, you can aim to achieve high scores and develop powerful combos.

Dice building

In MataOno, every Die consists of six slots for faces, and you have the freedom to fill these slots however you like. The configuration of these faces not only sets the raw values you roll but also allows for a special ability that can influence your strategy. Additionally, you choose a Base for your Die, which modifies its behavior and can help improve your odds during play.
