Making Ends Meet is a turn-based ASCII RPG about Sandra Mon, a 40-year-old divorced mother trying to get to payday. It’s the 22nd, payday is eight days away, and her account holds $31.40. Her teenage son mostly communicates in monosyllables and memes. The month becomes a dungeon to cross, with expenses and everyday purchases turned into enemies.

Money as health

Your health is your money, so every hit costs dollars. If an enemy is edible, eating it saves you a meal. Battles use types including Wit, Passive-aggressive, Evasion, Delulu and Food. Bosses have weak spots, so brute force won’t get you through every fight.
