Game premise and objective

Macrostate is a single-player real-time territory strategy game centered around expansion and resource management. Players select a starting position and aim to grow their influence on the map while balancing the power they commit to various fronts. Decisions about timing and resource allocation are crucial as players must decide how much power to expend when attacking or defending.

Resource management

In the game, land generates income, and unspent power earns interest, which adds a financial layer to the strategy. Players must balance spending their power to expand their territory against maintaining enough reserves for defense or future assaults. Committing too much power too quickly can lead to vulnerability against counterattacks, while holding back can allow AI opponents to seize control of valuable territory.
