City and army

Legio Impera is a real-time strategy game about building a city and fielding an army in the age of the Marian legions, near the end of the Roman Republic. You start with a forum on untamed land and develop the settlement into a city that can produce supplies and pay its troops.

Work and production

Each citizen has a trade. You can assign people to construction, woodcutting, farming, or work in mills, bakeries and workshops. Production chains turn wheat into flour and flour into bread, while the city also produces olive oil, wine, timber and stone, and gets food through hunting.
