Co-op horror for four players

KVOID is a PC co-op horror game for 1-4 players, set in the 1980s. You work the night shift for a small radio station that pays for strange signals, driving its van into the woods to find broadcasts that shouldn’t be on the air. Online co-op uses Steam invites, and players communicate through proximity voice chat and walkie-talkies.

Finding a signal

Each night, you sweep the woods with a handheld scanner to find where a signal is strongest, then place tripod microphones around its source. The crew has to coordinate between the woods and the van: someone can stay at the operator console to tune the frequency, watch the radar and record the transmission to tape. The signal fades with distance, so straying too far can leave the crew’s communications breaking up into static.
