ことづての庭

Garden building on PC

ことづての庭 is a Japanese garden-building app for PC. You shape a garden by raking sand, placing stones and other objects, and changing the ground. There are no required assignments: a teacher sometimes sends prompts, but you can ignore them and build as you like.

Sand and garden layout

Raking draws patterns in the sand, which flows around stones and other objects. Digging gives the sand a lower area to run into; raising the ground splits its flow. The marks change with the objects and contours you place, so shaping the ground is part of arranging the garden.
