Game premise and interaction

Knead a Break is a PC application designed to encourage users to take movement breaks while working at their computers. The game features a small cat named Knead, characterized by an unimpressed expression. Knead resides on the user's desktop and quietly observes as you work. When it’s time for a break, Knead interrupts your focus in simple, playful ways, such as peeking over windows, kneading at edges, or giving the window a gentle shake.

Break sessions and movements

Interacting with Knead opens a compact guided-movement window, which presents a straightforward exercise to perform at your desk. Each session features a single movement tutorial that is designed to be completed in about thirty seconds. You can choose to complete just one movement or continue with others, allowing for a series of quick break sessions that result in a few minutes of activity.
