Chess-based strategy

KING 4 A DAY is a minimalistic roguelike strategy game for PC. The White King has been kidnapped, and you guide four pawns who serve as his royal guards across a kingdom laid out in black-and-white squares. The guards may move like kings by royal decree, while other movement follows chess-inspired rules.

Movement and decisions

Each step brings a new position to consider as you try to get the guards across the kingdom. The route becomes more demanding, with tighter situations and trickier decisions. You need to keep the four guards protected while working out how to move through each encounter.
