It Could Be Worse

A Curse Within Time

It Could Be Worse plunges players into a world steeped in mystery and tension as they take on the role of a nameless monk grappling with a curse from the Time Yokai. Set against the backdrop of Neo-Osaka, this PC game melds narrative depth with challenging mechanics, propelling players through a relentless battle for survival as they seek to purify their soul. The vivid landscape and haunting atmosphere add layers to the monk's desperate journey.

Challenging Time Mechanics

The curse manifests in a punishing gameplay mechanic: as the monk moves, time slows around him, creating a paradox that challenges every instinct. When he halts, however, the world speeds up uncontrollably, amplifying the urgency to act. Players must master this duality, navigating frenzied confrontations while flawlessly executing fluid movements to overcome the oppressive curse. The interaction between time and movement is central to the game, resulting in a captivating experience that continuously tests reactions and strategy.
