Barbershop simulation

inFADErs is a PC barbershop simulator built around cutting customers’ hair, one strand at a time. Each customer arrives with a request and a reason for it, from a groom needing a mid fade before his wedding to a banker looking for a bob before an interview. Animals, including cats, dogs, bunnies and gerbils, also come in for trims. Their whiskers are off limits.

Cutting and checking

Read a customer’s scenario card, then turn and zoom in on their head to choose your tools. Colored dots mark where each strand should end: blue means too long, green is the target, and red is too short. Clippers have guards from #0 to #8; shears cut to a finger-length, an inch or the blade, while detail shears remove a measured amount with each snip. You can also comb, spray and blow-dry hair. Wet strands fall flat, dry ones fluff up, and combed hair straightens.
