Huanhai: A Career in Ink

An official’s career

Huanhai: A Career in Ink is a historical-fantasy political survival roguelike for PC. You play a scholar-official in the fictional Dayin dynasty, starting as a ninth-rank county deputy and trying to rise through a system that rewards administrative results and upward accountability. Each run covers a career, with death sending you back to start.

Choices each year

You have three points of energy to assign each year among five actions: opening land and building towns, protecting public support, cultivating relationships, concealing problems, and auditing accounts. Your choices affect your results, reputation, connections and patrons, as well as deficits that can become liabilities later.
