Holding back the spungus

Houston, We Have a Spungus is a PC tower-defense game about defending a colony from one huge living organism. The spungus creeps across the map, ripens and blooms, and devours what it reaches. It can’t be killed with ordinary weapons: you build a line of towers, hold it off, and survive until HQ’s nuke is ready.

You choose where each tower stands and what it covers. The spungus can chew through your defenses, and replacing them costs requisition tokens, so placement matters. Your station’s artillery can reach anywhere on the map, but each shell only makes a hole that the organism gradually fills back in. You can keep firing manually or invest in automated shooting.
