High Yield Warfare is a modern-era real-time strategy game for PC, set seven years after nations defaulted and their creditors took control of their armies. You command one of three powers fighting over the Corridor, a coastal region of desert and mountains where pipelines, a busy port and undersea data cables meet. The conflict is told from each faction’s side, and none of the factions is presented as the good one.

Three factions

The Compact represents creditors and states that signed agreements with them. Its expensive, high-tech units and strong defences come with an insurance system that returns part of a unit’s cost when it’s lost. The Directorate is a populist bloc that seized corporate headquarters and nationalized everything. It fields cheap, numerous, heavily armed forces, and its factories reduce the cost of a unit the more they build it.
