Hidden Chess

Hidden chess online

Hidden Chess is a PC chess game with online matches and computer opponents. Play its Hidden Chess mode, where pieces are concealed, or choose standard Classic Chess. Online, you can create a public or friends-only room, invite a friend, or use Quick Match to be paired with another player. Online and bot games use a chess clock.

Pieces in disguise

Each side starts with 15 hidden pieces: a queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights and eight pawns. Before play, those pieces are shuffled among their side’s starting squares. The kings are the only pieces whose identities are known, so even you don’t know what your pieces are at the start.
