Game premise and objectives

Hearts at Sea is a single-player, story-driven action game on PC, incorporating management and puzzle mechanics. You play as Julian, a tavern keeper who becomes a sea captain, tasked with sailing through the abandoned archipelago known as the Sea of Serpents. Your primary objectives include building a diverse group of heroes, managing their needs, and battling sea monsters that threaten the waters.

Managing characters

You recruit different characters for your crew, each with unique abilities, fighting styles, and fantastical relics. In total, you can take up to four characters into combat. Their experiences and personal secrets play a role in their effectiveness. Managing their needs and desires is crucial, as an unhappy character can negatively impact the group’s performance in battle. You'll also need to decorate their bedrooms to make them comfortable, ensuring they are battle-ready.
