Heartreave

Card-based combat

Heartreave is a turn-based hack-and-slash for PC where every fight is played with cards. You build a party of heroes, explore biomes, fight groups of creatures, take part in events and collect loot. Your heroes and loot carry over between explorations, so you can keep developing characters instead of starting over after each one.

Heroes and builds

The game has 11 heroes, each with an element or weapon style. Elements include Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Holy and Shadow; weapon styles are slashing, piercing and blunt. You can build around 1,980 skill cards, making choices that evolve the cards and change how you play. Passives, talents, relics and creature hearts can combine with those cards to shape a character’s build.
