Hard to Be a God

Unraveling the Intrigue of Hard to Be a God

Hard to Be a God invites players to immerse themselves in a richly crafted role-playing game where adventure and espionage coalesce in the medieval-inspired world of Arkanar. As a graduate of a secret service academy, your character is endowed with unparalleled strength, cunning, and intelligence. However, no matter how powerful he is, the universe of Arkanar always holds unexpected challenges just waiting to unfold.

The Narrative Depth Rooted in Sci-Fi

The storyline brilliantly intertwines fantasy with sci-fi, thanks to the influence of celebrated Russian writers, the Strugatsky brothers. Players navigate a non-linear narrative that echoes the themes of a world under surveillance by a more advanced extraterrestrial race. Your character's journey is shaped by choices that affect not only personal growth but also the fate of Arkanar itself, creating a narrative path rich with moral dilemmas and unforeseen twists.
