Game premise and mechanics

Happy Roots is a farming simulation game on PC where you manage an empty plot of land, working it by hand before using machinery. You start with basic tools, like a sickle, and as you progress, you can acquire more advanced equipment, including tractors and combine harvesters, to facilitate your farming. Your primary activities involve planting crops, tending to them through various growth stages, and harvesting them when ripe.

Crop and livestock management

In the game, you can grow different crops such as wheat, corn, carrots, and pumpkins. You manage watering either manually with a can or through automated sprinklers. As your farm develops, you can also raise animals by building facilities like chicken coops, cow sheds, and sheep pastures. Feeding your livestock and collecting products like eggs, milk, and wool forms part of the farming cycle you need to maintain for productivity.
