Hanzen: A Chinese Word Journey is a PC ink-wash puzzle game about forming Chinese words. You connect characters on the board to clear words, with each word’s pinyin and English meaning kept on screen. Hover over a character to see its pinyin, and hear the word pronounced when you clear it.

Learning and hints

The interface is in Chinese, but hovering over a button or label for half a second brings up an English explanation. If you get stuck, the game can choose a word and highlight its characters one by one. You can set how often these hints appear to 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
