Grumpy Gumphrey: Supersleuth (CPC/Spectrum)

A Retro Detective Adventure with Grumpy Gumphrey

In Grumpy Gumphrey: Supersleuth, players step into the shoes of Gilbert 'Grumpy' Gumphrey, a store detective navigating a series of humorous and chaotic challenges. Originally launched in 1985 by Gremlin Graphics, this remastered version brings the quaint charm of home microcomputers to modern platforms, including PC. The game combines puzzle mechanics with action, making each level a distinctive test of quick thinking and time management.

Timed Challenges That Test Your Skills

Gumphrey's primary duty is to handle a variety of tasks that must be completed under strict time constraints. From rescuing children in peril to extinguishing fires and even serving a hot cup of tea to the boss, each mission carries its own set of challenges. The urgency adds an engaging layer to gameplay, where failing to meet objectives could lead to the detective's dismissal. Players must stay sharp and strategize their actions to avoid being "sacked."
