Game premise and objectives

Groundswell is a strategy game set on the continent of Esagono, where the player leads one of five factions vying for control of an ever-shifting land. The main objective is to conquer territory, settle land, gather resources, and expand toward a victory mark. Players engage in combat using cards and must bluff their opponents to secure victory, making both strategic planning and deception key elements of gameplay.

Faction classes

Players can choose from four distinct classes, each offering a different path to victory. The Warlord class focuses on combat with cheaper armies and harder-hitting attacks. The Economist class enhances resource production and trading capabilities. The Architect class provides discounts on structures and improves defenses. Lastly, the Trickster class excels in scheming, allowing players to take resources from rivals and manipulate combat outcomes.
