Chess in pixel art

GRID64 is a chess game for PC, played on a black-and-white board with pixel-art pieces and frosted-glass panels. You can play puzzles, face AI opponents, enter online matches or compete in arena tournaments. It follows the full rules of chess, including castling, en passant, promotion with a choice of piece, stalemate, threefold repetition and the 50-move rule.

Puzzles and AI

Puzzles ask you to find mate in one or two moves, with a hint available if you get stuck. Versus AI has three difficulty levels. Easy makes human-like blunders; Hard can think up to eight moves ahead, knows openings and doesn't hang pieces.
