Gilded

Rich Lore and Dark Humor in Gilded

Gilded weaves an intricate tale that fuses JRPG mechanics with an unexpected cynical view on heroism. This PC game pays homage to the classic turn-based RPGs from the NES and SNES era while challenging the tropes that define them. Players will navigate an open world teeming with lore, encounter a colorful cast of characters, and face ethical dilemmas that probe deeper into what it truly means to be a hero.

A Journey Driven by Choice

Central to the narrative is young Gregor, who seeks a fabled Djinn to cure his sister from a mysterious illness known as the Epidemic. Joined by his friend Jack, the quest unfolds amidst a backdrop of ethical quandaries. The choices made throughout the journey impact the story’s progression and lead to multiple endings that reflect the player's philosophy. As Gregor's altruism clashes with difficult decisions, you'll question not just the path to power but the price of it.
