Ghostwriter

Ghostwriting for Velvet Frame

Ghostwriter is a PC narrative game about writing songs for dark-pop singer Zoe Ell while keeping your role as ghostwriter secret. You play Adam Palmer, hired by Velvet Frame Records to write five songs. Zoe has ideas about what each track should feel like, while label founder Charlie Lennox pushes for commercial direction. Your job is to shape lyrics that satisfy both, even when they want different things.

Building each song

You choose material from session recordings, Velvet Frame’s archives, Zoe’s comments between takes, and Adam’s private notes. Then you assemble each track section by section, writing its verse, chorus, and bridge in a dedicated Song Builder. Research takes time, so you eventually have to work with the information you’ve gathered.
