Gene-weaving VR game

Gene Weaver is an open-world VR game set aboard a cosmic shuttle and in a universe of gene weaving. You collect specialty gene maps and life flowers, then use them to design a personal genetic magic carpet. The game was created by Wu Tzu-ning and commissioned by the National Taiwan Science Education Center.

Collecting and flying

Hold the colorful yarn spool in your left hand and pull the trigger to launch and control your flight. Grip it again to set it down; if you let go while flying, it falls to the ground. Keep your right hand free to use its trigger when a laser beam appears, selecting and confirming your weave. Collected gene patterns appear in the plaza’s crystal ball.
