Asteroid mining

Gemstroids is a PC asteroid-mining game where you steer a small ship through fields of rocks, collect the gems inside them, and spend the credits they earn on upgrades. Your lasers automatically fire at rocks within your mining ring, while a tractor beam pulls in any gems you break loose. Each gem sells for credits as soon as it reaches the ship.

Runs start short and grow longer as you improve your miner. Breaking the last rock in a field brings in the next wave immediately, with tougher rocks, higher-value gems, and bonus time. Quick breaks build a combo multiplier. You can also chase comets, grab power-ups, and mine near black holes for better-paying rocks, though falling in costs you a large share of the session’s gems.
