Gate Singular

NAND logic sandbox

Gate Singular is a PC logic-building game in which NAND is the only logic element. You connect gates to construct everything else, from NOT, AND, OR and XOR logic to latches, decoders, RAM and a CPU. You can build circuits from scratch in a sandbox or follow lessons that work through the parts needed to make a processor.

From gates to a computer

The lessons cover latches and flip-flops, adders, counters, RAM and program memory, step by step. They lead to a working processor, while the sandbox leaves the design open-ended. The stated scale reaches a 16-bit computer running a 24-kilobyte operating system at 1000 ticks per second.
