Game premise and mechanics

Frontworks is an Automation-RTS hybrid game focused on building a war factory and commanding armies. Players extract raw materials, establish logistics, automate manufacturing processes, and recruit troops. As part of an expedition from a hive-mind civilization, you are tasked with developing an unexplored planet into a war mega-factory while overcoming hostile threats from alien wildlife and a rival robot faction.

Building and logistics

You send workers to construct various facilities, such as mining drills, furnaces, and assembly buildings. Connecting these buildings requires setting up complex logistical belts and inserters, ensuring that the factory expands its production capabilities and defenses. The growth of your factory directly impacts your military strength and resource extraction.
