From the Ranks

A new recruit in the army

From the Ranks is a single-player medieval tactical RPG for PC. You play Rowan Vale, a new recruit in King Aldren’s army, as the king begins a campaign to conquer neighboring kingdoms. Rowan starts by following officers’ orders and fighting alongside other soldiers. As the campaign advances, promotions bring new duties and eventually the responsibility of command.

Turn-based battles

You directly control Rowan’s movement, attacks and defensive actions during turn-based battles. His companions take their own turns, following their standing strategies rather than waiting for your input. You can position Rowan to support them, hold a choke point or deal with an enemy threatening the formation.
