Forty Days Dark

Global outbreak strategy

Forty Days Dark is a PC real-time strategy game about containing a worldwide infection from a carrier at sea. You manage a globe of more than 500 cities across 177 countries, sending forces to stabilize outbreaks before they spread. The infection doubles every day, and the campaign has no day limit: you win when no city is burning and lose if every city falls.

You can pause the globe or let time run faster, move the carrier along sea routes such as Suez, Panama and Gibraltar, and establish forward bases on land. Governments offer contracts, requisitions and bounties. You can sell gold bars on the market, but need to maintain good relations with countries to keep permission to fly over them.
