Game premise and mechanics

Forgotten Grounds is a top-down pixel-art survival game set in an isolated wilderness. Players manage a character who suffers from a lethal sun allergy, making daylight a threat rather than a source of safety. You must plan your activities around shadows, abandoned structures, changing weather conditions, and limited resources while avoiding dangers that emerge after dark.

Resource management

In this game, you scavenge for resources to craft essential tools, light fires, find food, collect water, and manage various needs, including hunger, thirst, fatigue, stamina, sanity, and inventory space. You also repair damaged equipment and decide if a valuable tool is worth the risk of wearing it down.
