Following the Shadow is a PC story game about Jacob, a young alchemist whose shadow is stolen by the Mistress, a sorceress in the Twisted Forest. He follows its trail across a river into a land where dried beetles can be worth more than gold, gifts can be curses, and butterflies can be more dangerous than spiders.

Choices and endings

As Jacob makes his way through the strange land, you choose whether he relies on alchemy or his fickle gift for music, and whom he shares the road with. The game has multiple paths and over six endings. Its characters are morally grey, and dark humor sits alongside the grim setting.
