Digging and terrain

Fellmark is a PC survival crafting sandbox built around digging, building and managing resources. You start with nothing in a world where you can dig almost anywhere, from the surface down about two kilometres to bedrock and a lava sea. Tunnels, quarries, terraces and hollowed-out mountains are all possible, but the terrain can collapse or flood: sand slides into a cut slope, seawater rushes through a breach in the seabed, and unsupported roofs cave in.

Ore appears in veins and pockets, with better metals tending to lie deeper underground. You smelt ore at a forge and use it to make tools, weapons and armour. There are thirteen metals, from copper to starmetal and voidstone, as well as seven alloys. Gems can be socketed into gear, which also needs repairs.
