Factory Reset

Repair shop mystery

Factory Reset is a repair-shop puzzle game for PC, set in Shorty’s, a small-town electronics repair shop that has gone quiet. Shorty’s note says “back soon,” but the jobs remain on the bench and regular customers keep asking when everyone will return. You take on the repairs while looking for clues in a box of factory binders and stamped paperwork hidden under Shorty’s desk.

Diagnosing the jobs

Each repair is a small mystery. You read the symptoms, inspect the device, form a hunch and test it, knowing your first diagnosis can be wrong. A job might involve three remotes for one TV when only one works with it, a remote that fails intermittently, or a device that appears dead when it isn’t. Other devices seem fine but are faulty.
