Roguelite survival horror

EMPTY SHELL: PROLOGUE is a top-down roguelite survival horror game set in a secret industrial facility on a remote Japanese island. You play as volunteers sent on a “recovery operation,” piecing together what happened at a site said to have been abandoned for decades. Each time you die, you take control of a new volunteer, with randomized starting equipment and a newly generated level layout.

Scavenging and combat

You search dark corridors and cold rooms for weapons, ammunition and gadgets, then manage your inventory to make room for the supplies you consider most useful. Different enemies hunt you through the facility, and you can buy upgrades and devices to help in fights. Puzzles also stand between you and the facility’s secrets.
