EMBER

A descent through the deep

EMBER is a dark cinematic 2.5D platformer for PC. You descend through a linear sequence of handcrafted locations, jumping across hazards, reading the layout of each chamber and working out how its mechanisms operate. The world is hostile: traps and creatures kill in a single hit, so a misjudged jump or reaction can end a run.

Movement and death

Platforming depends on timing and careful movement. You need to judge jumps and landings, watch the rhythm of machinery, and learn from the hazards that caught you. There are no wounds to recover from and no second chance after a hit. Death is part of the process: observe what destroyed you, remember what the room revealed, then try again with that knowledge.
