Shared city building

EconoCity is a PC city-building game set in one city shared by everyone who plays. You buy land and build roads, power plants and water pipes, then earn money by providing services or renting out buildings. Land starts cheaper in undeveloped areas, but it gains value as roads and nearby construction bring activity.

Land and competition

You have to negotiate with other owners to build across their lots. A rival can charge you for routing a water pipe across their land, or refuse access. Tenants compare rents with buildings across the street, so they may leave if they find a better deal. Power sellers compete for customers too: even a monopoly in a district doesn't mean every building will accept your electricity.
