Crafted by high school students Taiga Nishimura and Masaharu Nakajima, this indie title encapsulates youthful determination and creativity. Developed over a year, the game reflects their dedication, pouring untold hours into its design during holidays and after school. The narrative unfolds through a rich story, entwined with gameplay that encourages players to interact with their environment and make critical survival choices.

Engaging Mechanics for Survival

Featuring both “non-VR main story mode” and “VR dedicated battle mode,” Draw Near offers varied gameplay experiences. Players can dock with drifting ships, explore interiors, and fend off enemies while gathering essential resources. The choice of which ship to approach adds a strategic layer, accentuating exploration. Although the VR mode serves as an additional layer of gameplay, it is important to note that it currently exists in an incomplete state.
