Game overview

Dragonhaul is a retro roguelite autobattler that focuses on exploration and strategic item management. Players navigate a hand-pixelled world, encountering battles, treasure, merchants, forges, campfires, and other useful events. Each play session involves 50 steps to prepare for a boss encounter, which occurs after 10 days. As players progress, they create powerful item combinations to strengthen their hero.

Inventory and item management

The game begins with 6 inventory slots, which can expand to a maximum of 12 slots. Placement of items matters, as the order and type can create synergies affecting gameplay. There are hundreds of item combinations to discover, with over 10 status effects, 7 item types, 3 item origins, 3 item categories, and 7 item rarities. Effects include burn, poison, bleed, charge, chill, block, and lifesteal.
